Rise Above the Ashes
Hampshire native, Lily Garland, captured the attention of the UK Country scene with her very accomplished sound in 2016 with her debut EP Time to Fly which was nominated for EP of the year by Belles and Gals.
Her highly anticipated follow up EP, The Next Chapter, reached number 5 in the iTunes Country charts and gained critical acclaim from the likes of Lyric Magazine, National Radio support, a BCMA nomination and multiple UKCMA nominations.
Since her 2016 debut, Lily Garland has performed at multiple award winning festivals across the UK including Wickham Festival, Victorious Festival, Netley Festival and Icebreaker Festival. Lily has also toured and performed alongside the who’s-who of country music talent including Raintown, Katy Hurt, Danny McMahon, Elliott Joseph, Kezia Gill and US artists Dawson Reigns and Jessica Lynn.
2020 already sees Lily taking home the coveted title for Best Solo Act in the Portsmouth Guide Awards (having previously won the title), for her entertaining live performances and her contribution to the creation and execution of Country on the Coast Festival in Southsea, Hampshire.
Lily’s latest release, Rise Above the Ashes, which hit the iTunes Country Chart at number 5, includes her favourite tracks so far detailing Lily’s journey through music and life. Rise Above the Ashes was added to many spotify playlists including Lyric Magazine’s Women of Country 2019 and received radio play across the UK and Europe.
Lily has also recently signed to Fretsore Records and is thrilled to be working with Brendan McCarthy and Ian Sephton to take her music far and wide. 2020 Plans are already in motion for new music, live performances, festival season and of course Country on the Coast 2020!
